MUSICIAN

Lacie holds Bachelor of Musical Arts from Western University where she studied with Dr. Bobbi Thompson.  With a desire for higher education Lacie completed a Masters in Musical Performance from the University of Calgary under the direction of Dr. Jeremy Brown.  As a saxophonist she has performed across Canada from coast to coast with various ensembles and as a solo artist. She has worked with a number of performance groups including large ensembles, duos and chamber groups. Within the city of Calgary she performed and toured with a number of ensembles including the Calgary Wind Symphony, Alberta Winds, the Calgary Jazz Orchestra, and was a featured soloist with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.  

Now residing near her hometown in Ontario, Lacie performs with the Baytowne Big Band, the Skyliners Big Band and the Georgian Shores Concert Band within Simcoe County.  

In addition to saxophone performance she can be found singing and playing guitar at markets, for community groups, song circles and the local forest and nature school, Tiny Forest Academy.  As a parent of 2 vibrant tiny humans (4 years and 1 year) and with a passion for the outdoors, she specializes in children’s music with a theme of the natural world.  Stay tuned for music groups/ classes and song circles in your area !
